Position Overview:

Itron, Inc. is currently seeking a Product Manager. 

Responsibilities:

• Directs the development of company market requirements for specific product(s) or product line(s), including product strategy definition, requirements analysis, and pricing.
• Monitors the development of business plans, managing lifecycles, and product positioning in the marketplace.
• Reduces broad concepts and business strategies into structured product marketing plans.
• Oversees market research, monitors competitive activity, and identifies customer needs.
• Establishes pricing strategies. Interacts with engineering, manufacturing and sales to enhance existing product(s) or product line(s).
• Leads new product definition and business plans with joint departments.
• Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.
• Ensure acceptable revenue growth and margin performance at product line level.
• Develop concise, detailed product-line level business plans.
• Analyze and report on competition, risks and new technologies.
• Develop strategic and tactical initiatives.
• Educate and train Itron employees on the products.
• Ensure that product delivery expectations are set consistent with lead time constraints.
• Manage the flow of information from the marketplace to product development and business partners.
• Collect market feedback on products and services.
• Create product updates, application notes and technical bulletins.
• Assist in pricing and product proposals.

Qualifications:

• Must have at least 5-8 years of proven product line management experience, preferably in the AMR/AMI smart grid industry.
• Must also have project management experience.
• Significant knowledge and expertise in the metering industry required.
• Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience.
• PMP certification preferred
• Travel: 30-50%
