Responsibilities: 

In the role of Process Integration Engineer, incumbents are responsible for:

  • developing next-generation thin film high-efficiency solar cells and modules, using proprietary deposition process technology;
  • Perform Designs Of Experiment to analyze results targeting performance improvement, yield optimization and optimization of process steps with a view to minimization of manufacturing cost, including the full sequence of factory production steps and the related process flow;
  • Recommend and implement equipment and/or process modification keeping in mind the stability of baseline control.
  • Work closely with teams of other engineers and customers to guarantee synergy;
  • Keep track of best-known method details and document as well as report progress, all in close collaboration with our raw materials suppliers.

Qualifications:

The most successful incumbent will possess a Ph.D. or M.Sc. in Physics, Chemistry, Materials Science or Electrical Engineering and have 5 years industrial experience in solar photovoltaics.

Minimum Requirements: Applicant MUST have the following: 

  • A BS degree in Physics, Chemistry, Materials Science or Electrical Engineering and have 3 years industrial experience in solar photovoltaics or closely-related manufacturing fields, including: Factory experience with tool specification, start-up, and qualification of high volume manufacturing equipment;
  • Proficiency in solar cell device physics and optical properties of materials, familiarity with thin film silicon solar cell technology;
  • Practical knowledge of various equipment platforms and tool design tradeoff considerations, and;
  • Extensive background in vacuum deposition system and sources, process control hardware (heating, gas distribution, maintenance, etc.), support hardware (loadlock/isolation chambers, pumping systems, environmental controls, leak detection etc.).
  • Ability to work and communicate with teams a must.
