Private Land Stewardship Director

The Greater Yellowstone Coalition seeks a Director for its multi-faceted private lands program. The private lands of Greater Yellowstone harbor critical wildlife habitats and outstanding scenic values. In recent years both communities and the rural countryside have been under tremendous development pressures resulting in serious environmental, social and economic problems. GYC's Private Land Stewardship program has engaged in research and education on growth issues, community organizing around site specific problems and county wide planning, and we have been involved in litigation and policy reform. Plans are underway to broaden these efforts including an expanded community organizing initiative. We are looking for a seasoned growth management advocate with proven program management experience. An understanding of Western development issues is desired.
