Georgia DNR: Pollution Prevention Assistance Division

Duties:
Opportunity for an engineer to assist industrial, government and commercial facilities in voluntary waste reduction and resource conservation programs.

  • Will conduct multi-media waste reduction assessments, facilitate environmental teams, make presentations on pollution prevention concepts, conduct technology evaluation studies, prepare technical and newsletter articles, and assist organizations in implementing progressive environmental management strategies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in engineering and minimum three years experience is required.
  • A Masters in engineering, environmental studies, or business administration is preferred.
  • Ideal candidate will be self-directed, have strong oral and written communication skills, and have experience in the following areas: manufacturing, ISO 14001, project management, air pollution prevention, hazardous waste reduction, solid waste reduction, energy and water efficiency.
