Photovoltaic (PV) Plant Operator

Job Responsibilities: 

• Responsibility for deep-level solar asset monitoring for PV/BESS plants ranging in size from 100kW to over 150MW  
• Responsibility for recognizing data validity and performing trend analysis for assisting in report generation 
• Responsibility for analysis of plant output in relation to expected performance 
• Responsibility for diagnosing differences between monitoring failures and power generation equipment failures 
• Responsibility for SCADA platform maintenance, troubleshooting and database mining 
• Help in all areas of preventative and corrective maintenance as directed by manager with minimal supervision 
• Use of equipment and resources in accordance with instructions provided by the company 
• Adherence to Company policies, quality, environmental health and safety policies and good housekeeping practices 
• Being prepared for weekend on call duties for emergency response to significant faults. 

Requirements (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities): 

• Experience in Photovoltaic system monitoring and analytics highly desirable 
• Microsoft software proficiency (Outlook, excel, word, Access) 
• Experience performing analytics on large data sets 
• Previous SCADA monitoring experience preferred 
• Networking hardware and software experience preferred 
• Good communications skills to effectively coordinate with onsite personnel 
• Ability to keep meticulous records 
• Strong time management skills  
• Ability to multitask effectively 
• Previous solar experience preferred 
• Must pass background check and pre-employment and random drug screenings 
• 40 hours/week; No “on call” schedule and must be able to work Saturdays 
• No company vehicle to start out with
