Position Overview:
We are seeking a Permitting Analyst to support our expanding portfolio of projects. The Permitting Analyst will be based in our Providence RI office and will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
Responsibilities:
Primary responsibilities will include:
- Coordinating efficient environmental and regulatory review and permitting of projects
- Managing consultants and assisting in development of environmental review and permitting strategy
- Preparation of applications to agencies and regulatory entities
- Preparation of milestone schedules and budgets and coordination with Deepwater Wind Project Directors to ensure permitting schedule and budget are met
- Permitting project management and strategic planning
- Assisting in ensuring permit compliance during construction and operation phase of projects
- Coordination of permitting activities with project execution
- Providing permitting constraints for prospect offshore wind farms
Qualifications:
- BS / MS degree in Environmental Science, Marine Biology or a related field
- 3-7 years of experience preparing environmental permits for energy projects, wind energy and/or offshore experience a plus
- Experience with NEPA, ESA, MMPA and other relevant state and federal environmental regulations
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Demonstrated project planning and implementation skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Available to work out of Providence, RI office
- Some travel to support business needs required
