Position Overview

The Payroll and Benefits Coordinator processes and coordinates all payroll and employee benefits, maintains records, and ensures all procedures are in compliance. Reports to the Senior Manager - Human Resources.

Responsibilities

  • Processes semi-monthly payroll for all staff at all locations
  • Coordinates all benefits including enrollment, changes, and deletions, including COBRA
  • Processes 401K, HSA, and FSA plans
  • Implements changes for insurance renewals
  • Reviews all invoices from benefits providers for accuracy, and coordinates removals and additions
  • Maintains Paylocity database and PayScale information
  • Monitors employee insurance eligibility
  • Reconciles payroll to amounts paid/withheld to insurers for dependents
  • Performs background checks
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned

Qualifications

Required:

  • Minimum 3 years payroll and benefit administration
  • College degree or equivalent
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
  • Ability to use good judgment, take initiative, and make recommendations in resolving problems
  • Computer proficiency including fluency with the various Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Self-motivated and driven to exceed goals, while contributing to a successful administrative team
  • Demonstrate IslandWood's core values that enable teams and individuals to succeed with shared respect and purpose

  • Experience in engaging with diverse communities
  • Must be able to comply with and maintain a smoke-free and drug-free work environment
  • Must pass child safety screening procedure

Desired:

  • Human Resources experience
  • Accounting experience
