Position Overview
- Commercial Sales
- Initially to generate their own leads
- Region is defined within 100 miles radius of Encino Office
- Report to Sales Manager
- Work with Marketing, Design, and Operations departments
Responsibilities
- Qualify Customers from early consultation.
- Identify their needs and address their concerns, and then develop a solution that best meets their requirements.
- Make the right contacts in the customer organization, and make sure you become familiar with key decision makers that are crucial to closing the sales.
- Prepare target presentations that sell to the particular needs of the each customer.
- Keeping the sale process simple by concentrating on what the customer needs to hear.
- Persistent approach understanding that timing is important and that the customer has to be ready to hear what is being said.
- Collect enough data from customer to prepare an estimate; e.g. roof plans, electric bills, building conditions.
- Provide the design team with solid information about roof size and conditions, including photographs of the roof, and roof plans.
- Focus on presenting the customer with benefits rather than details.
- Possess a good sense of when to go for the close rather than continue selling.
- Identify objections before presenting estimate.
- Keep accurate and systematic records of customer communication using CRM database.
- Report regularly to the sales manager, and coordinate with project management staff to ensure smooth transition from sales to operation.
- Collect testimonials and references upon completion of each project.
Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in Business or Engineering
- 6 + years sales experience in real estate, financial investments, or technical sales of large ticket items.
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, and internet.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, resulting in efficient collection of data, on a timely basis, identifying major decision makers, and, recommending solutions that best meet their needs and concerns.
- Experience in using CRM Database software.
- Strong knowledge of renewable energy benefits preferred
- Excellent follow through skills
- Experience in cold calling
- Strong skills in developing relationships with people in different levels of customer's organization
- Ability to keep customer focused on the desired outcome
