Position Overview

Occupy Homes is hiring a community organizer to work in Palm Beach County, Florida, one of the hardest hit states. Occupy Homes Palm Beach is one part of the national Occupy Homes Network, and part of the Home Defenders League.

Responsibilities 

  • The organizer's primary job is to organize large number of homeowners into action, ranging from home defenses to direct action against the banks.
  • The organizer is responsible for outreach and organizing a large base of homeowners in Palm Beach County and moving them to action. 
  • Applicants will also have the autonomy and creaitvity to engage in hard-hitting campaigns against Wall Street and local targets as necessary.
Qualifications 
  • Spanish proficiency is preferred. 
  • Applicant should be skilled in working with allied organizations.
  • And, the ideal candidate would have some willingness to engage in fundraising.
Compensation: Salary range is 12,000 - 20,000. Benefits include a free apartment
