Description
To keep pace with PEPY as our organization grows and changes, we are seeking a senior level team member with proven experience in strategic planning, critical thinking, and staff management.
PEPY is committed to aiding rural communities in improving their own standards of living, with a focus on increased access to quality education. PEPY invests time and resources in people, because we believe that improving education, providing training, and stimulating ideas builds capacity for people to better solve their own problems.
Our development philosophy is based on a few core beliefs:
- Build capacity in people
- Partner with other organizations
- Share the lessons we have learned
- Allow flexibility in our programs
- Work with local government
PEPY is a different kind of organization. We want to live in a world where everyone has access to quality education and increased health and environmental awareness but we believe that traditional development models are failing to make the changes we think are possible in the world.
At PEPY, we are committed to making improvements in education, the environment, and health by investing in a local team of dedicated leaders and connecting them with the tools to help deliver the changes they want to see in the world. We work to build strong human relationships and empower local leaders who understand the specific needs in the areas where we work. Our goals involve changes in attitudes and actions so we take an approach to development focused on community input and capacity building.
Through our partner government schools, and our informal education initiatives, PEPY is supporting education for over 1,700 families in 12 villages and 9 schools in rural Siem Reap. We believe that education is the key to sustainable change, and are committed to a holistic developmental approach which empowers children, parents, teachers, and communities to make the positive changes they want to see in their lives.
PEPY is a non-governmental organization registered in both the US and Cambodia.
Our sister company, PEPY Tours is a social venture offering responsible adventurous and educational trips while providing long term support to development programs. The income and fundraising generated through PEPY Tours funds our non-profit organization, as well as a number of development programs by local grassroots organizations
