Position Overview:
IceStone is seeking an Online Media intern to increase traffic to IceStone’s website, ultimately leading to greater sales and brand recognition. An ideal candidate would have strong communication and technical skills, and have worked in a technical capacity for a company before. S/he should be organized, detail-oriented, able to self-manage and both a learner and an educator at heart.
The intern would be reporting to the Marketing Manager of New Product Development and Online Media as part of a small Marketing team. Besides gaining experience in website management, the intern would also learn about the green building industry and small business operations.
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities may include:
- Manage content and graphics on IceStone's website
- Edit IceStone's website to increase search rankings using established search engine optimization (SEO) protocol - editing title tags, metadata, links, etc.
- Update Facebook and Twitter feed with events, announcements and media mentions
- Create social media campaigns and contests to increase fans and followers
- Work closely with customer distributors, fabricators and retailers to ensure that IceStone is being represented accurately and amply on their websites

HTML, JavaScript, Joomla, Microsoft Office, Google Docs
Compensation: Stipend: $10/hour
Duration: 12 weeks, April - June, 35 hrs/wk
