Description
Background:
Wildlife Trust is seeking an Office Manager for our headquarters offices. We
are a USA-based conservation organization whose mission is to conserve
threatened species and their habitats in partnership with local scientists and
educators around the world. We currently support 65 projects in 17 countries.
We are also a member of the Center for Environmental Research and
Conservation (CERC) headquartered at Columbia University, New York City,
and the fiscal manager for the Consortium for Conservation Medicine.
Duties:
- Day-to-day administration of Wildlife Trusts headquarters offices, managing
calendars, acting as receptionist, maintaining equipment and supplies, filing
and record-keeping, managing mail, orienting new staffers; - Facilities management, in conjunction with Lamont-Doherty personnel;
- Information Management, including e-mail and telephone systems
maintenance, network security, troubleshooting problems; - Assistant to the President;
- Special projects as needed.
Qualifications:
Thorough knowledge of computers, excellent interpersonal and
communications skills, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, office
experience. Knowledge of languages other than English a plus. Wildlife Trust is
