IC members seek to balance environmental, social, and financial returns on their investments and since 1992 have invested over $90 million into approx 150 socially responsible private companies and small venture funds.

Companies supported by our members range from alternative energy technology to organic foods to companies creating jobs in low-income areas.

Duties:
Investors Circle is seeking a dynamic, organized individual to serve a part time/temporary position as Office Manager/Admin. Assistant.

The Office Manager/Admin. Assistant handles day-to-day operational aspects of this 3-person nonprofit organization and reports to the Senior Associate. Investors Circle is a nonprofit, membership-based, national network of investors who provide venture capital investments to companies that have a social and/or environmental mission.

The Office Manager/Admin. Assistants responsibilities include:

  • General administrative support, including phones, supplies, and mail service.
  • Database management and upkeep.
  • Coordination with outside vendors, including printers, designers, and computer consultants.
  • Assisting with marketing materials and mailings.
  • Assisting with planning execution of the logistics of at least four major events per year, including two venture fairs, a 150-person national conference, and a retreat.
  • Logistics includes timeline management, catering, invitations, room set-up, A/V, supervision of site staff, etc.
  • Other project-based work as needed.

Qualifications:
Desired qualifications for the position include:

  • Undergraduate degree.
  • Previous work experience, preferably in a small business and/or nonprofit.
  • Events planning experience. Proven ability to manage the many details and logistics of sophisticated events with a high level of personalized service.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication and marketing skills. A professional phone manner is critical.
  • The capacity to work and thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial organization with a collaborative environment.

Terms:
Compensation will be hourly and will be commensurate with experience.

The position is part time, with flexible hours, and temporary, with the potential of becoming full time.
