Position Overview
The GCCM staff work in three main areas: finance, operations and administration; product
development and marketing; and shareholder advocacy. GCCM is seeking to add a talented person to
our administrative team. Green Century's Office Manager is
responsible for a range of administrative and managerial duties in our Boston office.
Responsibilities
Duties of the Green Century Capital Management Office Manager include:
- Respond to prospective investor and current shareholder inquiries via email and on Green Century’s 800 number.
- Maintain inventories of all materials, including office supplies.
- Prepare mailings to prospective investors and others.
- Manage data entry and computer systems.
- Maintain an organized office space and streamlined systems for efficient processing.
- Answer the telephones and greet visitors.
- File and maintain files.
- Maintain office equipment.
- Compile marketing data for monthly reporting.
- Occasionally represent Green Century at conferences and events.
- Provide clerical and administrative support to GCCM staff.
- Assist with budgets, bookkeeping, and invoices.
- Assist with marketing projects.
Qualifications
- We seek applicants who possess a strong commitment to
environmental issues and environmentally responsible businesses. - Qualified
applicants should be detail-oriented; enjoy administrative work and a
well-organized office; and have an interest in environmentally responsible
investing. - It is preferable for candidates to have had some administrative
experience.
Compensation: Salary
will be commensurate with an applicant's relevant experience, ranging from $24,000
to $27,500.
