Position Overview:
This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate with very strong organizational, customer service, and communications skills to gain experience in the emerging dynamic field of sustainability in higher education.
The successful candidate will assist with scheduling, project management and coordination across a broad range of initiatives involving staff, faculty, and students; will coordinate communications and reporting efforts for the Office, for both internal and external audiences; will assist in developing and maintaining an office environment that exemplifies sustainable practices; will coordinate, process invoices, and track records associated with allocation of campus green fund and other Office activities; will assist with planning and execution of periodic major events; and will interact as the first point of contact for campus community members and visitors to the Office.
This is a 2 year term position with the potential for renewal and will include full benefits.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma and 3 years of experience or equivalent
- High level of proficiency in word processing, project management, and spreadsheet and/or database software
- Ability to manage content on multiple digital and online platforms
- Ability to manage office equipment and software packages and processes at an advanced level and independently
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple overlapping goals and objectives with enthusiasm and good communication with supervisor
- Excellent and adaptable communication skills to interact and coordinate with diverse "customers" with welcoming professionalism
- Ability to adapt to the changing priorities and needs of the program over time and remain flexible
Preferred Qualifications:
- experience or interest in sustainability
- previous experience working in the higher education environment
Finalist will be required to successfully pass a background check.
