Position Overview 

The role of the Northeast Outside Sales Representative involves a myriad of responsibilities including, but not limited to, speaking with customers, resolving problems, customer trainings, project tracking, developing and maintaining customer relationships, along with increasing the IceStone portfolio with new external customers.

Since this individual will have limited bandwidth, he/she will benefit from having the ability identify and build a customer list that can be consistently visited. This will require extensive travel and promotion of all product lines in the Northeast, mostly in the NYC metro area. As we are a small company, the ability to collaborate on cross-functional teams will be important. This opportunity is ideal for someone who is motivated, energetic, self-directed, likes working with people, and loves travelling.

Responsibilities 

  • Visiting external customers (retail, aricators, millworkers)
  • Participating in weekly Sales/Marketing meetings
  • Ability to answer technical questions to cover all product lines
  • Specification tracking using a CRM
  • Opportunity/Account management
  • Giving sales related presentations
  • Coordinating with logistics/order fulfillment to make sure orders ship out on time
  • Carrying out various customer trainings
  • Cross functional work with Marketing
  • Project identification
  • Getting customers to carry, display, and sell all product lines 

Qualifications 

  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • Experience in sales
  • Talent for prioritizing and multi-tasking in a fastpaced
  • environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • High level of organizational skills
  • Creative problem solving skills
  • Ability to work well on teams
  • Social dexterity; comfortable speaking to a variety of customer types
  • Ability to follow up and follow through
  • Must have a sense of humor
  • Quick learner
  • Proficiency in MS Office software
  • SalesForce experience
  • Drivers license required
  • Access to a vehicle
  • Social media competency
  • Countertop/kitchen & bath industry experience a plus
