Position Overview

The National Account Manager acts as the liaison between Bluebird Botanicals’ internal departments and our wholesale accounts within the Natural & Specialty/Food, Drug, Mass channels. Primary focus will be on Natural & Specialty accounts and managing the broker network across the U.S.

The aim of the National Account Manager is to build brand loyalty, maximize revenue opportunities and exceed sales goals within assigned channels. The primary duty of this position will be to coordinate sales efforts, account level management, and broker management and communication.

The National Account Manager will be knowledgeable of the duties related to order processing, customer service resolution, and fulfillment.  

The National Account Manager is responsible for lead outreach to onboard new customers from plan to close while growing existing accounts. They handle customer engagement through HubSpot, personalized email correspondence and phone networking with the goal to grow sales.  A major part of this role is to effectively manage and increase distribution in the Natural & Specialty Channel accounts and effectively manage broker partnerships. 

Reports to: National Sales Director

Responsibilities

Essential Job Duties:

  • Act as point of contact between sales, production, and finance organizations within Bluebird Botanicals.
  • Coordinate communications and outreach to qualified leads while also re-engaging current retailers through follow up and coordination with assigned brokers.
  • Effectively manage broker relationships, conduct key account meetings, and facilitate paperwork necessary to grow retail accounts.
  • Complete and monitor sales-driven tasks, assignments and projects designated by Sales Leadership.
  • Manage AR issues.
  • Negotiation of pricing agreements and contracts.
  • Manage category review schedule and promotional opportunities for key accounts.
  • Complete new item forms, promotional submissions, and other paperwork when necessary.
  • Drives profitable sales through exceptional customer service and outreach.
  • Stay up to date on Hemp Industry trends and legislation.

Minor Job Functions:

  • Adhere to company policies and guidelines as outlined by HR policies.
  • Uphold Bluebird Botanicals standards of quality and service.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment and able to multi-task effectively
  • Highly organized with excellent time management, prioritization, and follow-up skills
  • Five years CPG sales experience with proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close
  • Prior Natural Channel experience with major accounts required.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively
  • Team Player
  • Multi-faceted thinker to comprehend problem / solution equations
  • Experience with HubSpot is a plus (not a requirement)
  • Intermediate knowledge of Windows, Word, and Excel. Experience with Google Drive is a plus
Compensation
 
  • Salary is between $65,000-$80,000.
