Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a subject matter expert to join our Environmental Claims Division. The successful candidate should have in-depth knowledge of third party certification and environmental claims including life cycle assessment, material/recycled content, and indoor air quality. This is a full time position and will be based out of our Emeryville Corporate Office.
Responsibilities:
- Work with Program Managers, Directors and Staff to create, develop and manage web content for the Environmental Claims Division.
- Monitor competitive websites and keep Program Managers informed of developing trends or industry news.
- Look for opportunities to increase SCS's presence in the market, including speaking engagements, tradeshows, or through use of social media.
- Act as point of contact for media inquiries
- Write press releases
- Proofread and edit all web content for the division
- Maintain websites for the various programs and services with regular website updates
- Work with Art Director to develop program specific collateral
Qualifications:
Qualified candidates will possess the following:
- Minimum of Bachelors degree in a related field
- Excellent communication skills, able to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical staff
- In depth knowledge of third party certification and environmental claims
- Working knowledge of HTML
- Superior writing ability, able to transform highly complex information into clear, concise web content.
- Knowledge of and ability to write for SEO
- Customer service oriented
- Able to work in a dynamic environment with changing priorities
