EnerNOC unlocks the full value of energy management for our utility and commercial, institutional, and industrial (C&I) customers by reducing real-time demand for electricity, increasing energy efficiency, improving energy supply transparency in competitive markets, and mitigating emissions. Our Energy Network Operations Center (EnerNOC) supports these applications across thousands of C&I customer sites throughout the world. Using our C&I customers' energy usage flexibility, we make capacity, energy, ancillary services, and carbon products available to grid operators and our more than 100 utility customers on demand as a cost-effective alternative to traditional power generation, transmission, and distribution.
Position Overview:
EnerNOC, a leading provider of energy management solutions, has an immediate need for a Marketing Specialist. As Marketing Specialist, you will be responsible for developing insights into EnerNOC's customers, competitors and markets, and then leading marketing initiatives that leverage these insights to drive tangible results.
Responsibilities:
Your responsibilities will include:
Develop insights:
- Inform strategic marketing decisions by evaluating total market size, market share, key customer segments and segment penetration, existing and emerging competition, pricing, and other market opportunities.
- Rigorously measure and analyze marketing campaigns, including ROI analysis, to identify successful strategies and codify them into best practices that are replicated across the team.
- Spend time in the field with EnerNOC's Sales team, customers and prospects to directly understand their perspectives and bring customer insights back to the team through team meetings and enrichment of customer data in our ECRM tool.
Leverage insights to drive tangible results:
- Design and execute a wide range of marketing programs including direct mail, email/targeted mail, webinars, conferences and events and more.
- Directly support specific business opportunities with proposal development, pricing analysis, securing customer references, competitor benchmarking and more.
- Support the creation and development of new messaging and positioning for marketing materials, including collateral, whitepapers, presentations, case studies and newsletters.
- Create and develop effective sales tools, such as ROI calculators and Statements of Financial Opportunity.
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including marketing managers, marketing communications, and the sales team.
Qualifications:

Required Qualifications/Skills/Education:
- BA/BS preferably in engineering, business management, or economics.
- 2 or more years of professional work experience within management consulting, the energy sector, marketing, B2B marketing or other related fields.
- Excellent writing skills and high proficiency in the Microsoft Office productivity suite.
- Experience with salesforce.com a plus.
