Marketing Coordinator/Designer

WDG Architecture is a leading architecture, planning, and interior design firm with a national practice in commercial office, mixed-use, multifamily residential, hospitality, higher education, and government design projects. The firm, with 100 employees with offices in Washington, DC and Dallas, TX, has been rated one of the "Top 25 Architectural Firms" in the Washington area by the Washington Business Journal., and Engineering News Record has ranked WDG as one of the top 100 "Green Design Firms."

The firm's current projects include 2 high-profile design build projects. In coordination with Clark Construction,  WDG is designing the first residence hall at the University of Maryland, College Park in 30 years, while the firm is working with Foulger-Pratt on the Missile Defense Agency's new Headquarters in Ft Belvoir, VA. WDG is designing a new aloft Hotel in Arlington, VA, which follows WDG's transformation of the aloft Hotel's suburban prototype into an urban form at National Harbor, MD.  The firm has received numerous awards from AIA, NAIOP, Congress of New Urbanism, and other industry organizations.

Position Overview:

The Marketing Coordinator/Designer is an essential part of the marketing and business development efforts of the firm.  Provides a high level of support to most marketing and business development initiatives.  Responsible for the design quality of the deliverables created in the marketing department, as well as interfacing with project teams to make sure that their project deliverables reflect the WDG brand and a high level of graphic design quality. 

The successful candidate will be able to design graphically compelling materials that reflect our messages and brand, have a proactive nature, the ability to solve problems, an eye for detail and strong communications skills both written and oral. 

Responsibilities include the development and preparation of RFP responses, qualification statements and presentations.  Requires flexibility, strong organizational skills, and the capacity to handle multiple assignments in a deadline-driven environment.  Works directly with the marketing and business development team as well as the Principals of the firm.

Responsibilities:

• Design graphic documents, such as presentations, brochures, conference displays, and advertisements.
• Develop design templates for all materials to enable the entire marketing team to create high-quality materials efficiently.
• Create and produce proposals as a response to RFPs/RFQs/RFIs.
• Maintain companywide project and personnel documents, image library, database, and web site.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Design, Marketing, English, Communications or related field with at least 3 years experience.
• Effective and professional communication skills, oral and written to include: research, writing, editing, spelling and proofreading.  Must have a solid command of the English language.
• Strong software skills are essential including MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel; and Photoshop, and InDesign.  Database experience a plus.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team.
• Excellent internal and external customer service skills.

• Strong time management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize assignments.
