Cleantech is new technology and related business models offering competitive returns for investors and customers while providing solutions to global challenges. Where greentech, or envirotech, represents the highly regulatory driven, "end-of-pipe" technology of the past with limited opportunity for attractive returns, cleantech is driven by market economics therefore offering greater financial upside and sustainability.

Job Overview:
The Cleantech Group, originator of the cleantech category, has an immediate opportunity for a Marketing Communications Manager.
The successful candidate will work closely with the head of marketing, as well as internal business units and partners to implement marketing programs intended to drive the acquisition of new customers in key markets and maintain industry leadership, with a view to supporting revenue and growth objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Implementing standalone and integrated marketing campaigns and coordination of outreach for multiple business units
- Collateral development and maintenance of existing library; management of localization
- Website updates
- Monitoring and tracking ROI on programs against business goals to gauge the success of marketing efforts
- Provide direction and clear communication within internal team and to other departments
- Continuous customer and prospect needs validation to hone messaging, targeting and maximize the impact of marketing spend
- Ensuring an overall quality client experience in content, style, brand and frequency of contacts to market
- Managing budgeting for individual projects
- Assessment of needs and delivering added value to the company and its business units wherever possible; even in situations where a project hasn't yet been initiated
Qualifications:
Candidates should have a proven capability in marketing communications, passion for the environment and clean technology and thrive under pressure.
- Superior communication skills; strong copy writing and editing critical
- Knowledge of and respect for best practices in print and online marketing, email, direct mail, collateral and website development
- Adherence to style guides and attention to detail
- Outstanding project management, organizational and interpersonal skills
- Strong communication technology skills
- Microsoft Word (esp. advanced use of styles and unusual text flows), PowerPoint, Excel, Project
- At least intermediate abilities with Adobe Photoshop, Acrobat
- HTML code, not just editors, and ideally CSS
- History of managing to budgets
- Ability to manage changing requirements and short timelines as well as multiple overlapping projects at one time
Key Factors for Success:
- Focused attention to details while maintaining clear view of overall goals and business context
- Experience with venture capital, cleantech and media a plus
- Business to business marketing experience in technology, finance or cleantech
- Work passionately and objectively on behalf of corporate and business units' objectives
