Marketing and Events Associate

Position Overview:

This Marketing and Events Associate position at the Legatum Center for Development and Entrepreneurship at MIT involves a wide range of marketing activities. Duties will include assistance with the database, conference management, online marketing campaigns and the development of promotional materials.

Creative and collaborative thinking are essential for success in the role. Familiarity with the following programs is desirable but not required: PowerPoint, Salesforce, InDesign, PhotoShop and social media such as Twitter and Facebook. Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite for MACs is required.

The Events Associate will assist the Marketing and Events Manager in all aspects of events, spending approximately 50% of his/her time on the management of events and 50% of his/her time on database management.

Qualifications:

The Marketing and Events Associate should have professional or educational experience with general and event marketing tasks. He/she must have expert communication and writing skills, be highly organized, and comfortable working within deadlines.

This is a one-year position with the possibility of extension.
