Make a difference in Oregon's ocean resources!
Put your natural resources management skills to work by providing overall marine program administration, policy, resource management coordination and staff leadership. Supervise project coordination and management for marine recreational and commercial fisheries, habitat research and policy, nearshore resources, and federal fishery management council involvement. Act as a liaison between the Marine Resources Program and multiple department, and other agency programs. Direct involvement with public constituents/groups, fishing industry, universities, state and federal agencies.

Qualifications:
Requires six years of experience in supervision, staff-technical, or professional level work in natural resources management. This experience must have included at least two years of supervision and management of a program, section, or unit that included: a) development of program rules and policies, b) development of long- and short-range goals and plans, c) program evaluation, and d) budget preparation.
A Bachelor's degree or equivalent course work (144 quarter or 96 semester hours) in a field related to management, such as Business or Public Administration, or Wildlife or Fisheries Science or a related natural resources field, may be substituted for up to three years of the required experience, but will not substitute for the two years of specialized experience.
A Master's degree in a related field may substitute for up to one year of the required experience.
Salary: $4,308 - $6,675/mo. Generous benefits package. There will be an additional 3.2% salary increase effective 11/1/08.
