Position Overview:

**Positions can be located in Chicago, IL; Atlanta, GA; San Francisco, CA; or major metro areas**

We currently have 3 exciting UL Environment Consulting opportunities available:

1 role with a Marketing focus (IRC71753), in which the incumbent will develop business and manage projects in UL Environment's sustainability consulting and marketing practice, for projects involving marketing and communications.

2 roles with a Sector focus (IRC71772 & IRC71773), in which the incumbents will develop business and manage projects in UL Environment's sustainability consulting and marketing practice.  Leading and coordinating consulting activities for targeted industry sectors. 

Advises, manages and coordinates with UL's Environment business customers.  Develops and executes strategies in coordination with Industry leads and other Commercial team members to generate revenue growth and achieve bookings goals.  Assists industry leadership in the development of account strategies, goals, and plans with a focus on driving a foundation for industry growth for UL. 

Focuses on customer satisfaction, account growth and expansion of ULE services provided.  Works with customers to understand the emerging needs of the organization.  Works with other business development team members to target opportunities.

Manages projects to meet customer requirements for quality, scope, and budget.  Coordinates activities of other consulting project staff and ensures that project profitability goals are achieved.

Responsibilities:

  • Manages and coordinates with UL's environment customers industries and opportunities.
  • Works with industry leads and other sales personnel to generate revenue growth, and achieve booking goals.
  • Responds effectively to urgent and sensitive customer issues, and focuses on sustaining customer satisfaction and loyalty by maintaining a relationship with the customer.
  • Develops and coordinates executive presentations, debriefings, and proposals and prepares thought leadership positions, including white papers, webinars, and writings for industry.
  • Develops comprehensive account plans and manages relationships with customers to grow accounts and expand services provided.
  • Develops proposals by researching, and resolving complex problems for key and/or high value customers.
  • Manage complex consulting projects, involving interdisciplinary teams, so that project profitability goals are realized.
  • Performs other duties as directed.

Qualifications: 

Required Skills:

  • University degree (equivalent to a Bachelor's degree) in Science, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related discipline plus generally 8 years' experience in account management and project management.
  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate, acquire and manage high value customer accounts.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex sustainability projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with customers as a trusted business advisor in a consulting capacity.
  • Detailed understanding of the sustainability business, environmental marketing, target markets and sustainability-related business issues in the consulting group's target industry sector.
