Stericycle operates a Sustainability Services business focused on solving customer's waste issues in the most cost effective and sustainable manner. The solutions are developed internally and executed by combination of internal resources and third-party partners.
Position Overview:
The Sustainability Solutions Manager is responsible for assessing customer waste disposal needs by evaluating the customer's supply chain from inputs through by-product and waste creation. The Sustainability Solutions Manager will then lead the Sustainability Team to develop solutions. They will manage the Sustainability relationships and assure the delivery of Sustainability solutions is seamless to our customers. The Sustainability Solutions Manager will also have shared responsibility measuring the effectiveness of all solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Developing creative, effective waste solutions that improve or the customer's sustainability performance while decreasing costs. The solutions will be developed using both internal and external resources.
- Develop and manage all relationships with internal and external solutions partners.
- Evaluating customers operational processes and supply chains to evaluate waste solutions affecting all processes within the supply chain, not just the scrap, by-product and disposal processes.
- Perform customer site audits and assessments
- Assist in the preparation of and participate in customer sales proposals.
- Assist Customer Service to maintain customer relationships
- Participate in quarterly customer business reviews.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree required, preferably in an environmentally related field.
- Knowledge of hazardous material certifications (such as CHMM, Hawoper40, etc.) preferred.
- 5 or more years of experience in waste management.
- 5 or more years experience managing external customer relationships
