Manager of Quality Assurance

Well established and rapidly expanding Gainesville, Florida-based national/international marketer of organic dietary supplements is
looking to hire a qualified person for its Operations team.

Position Overview:

The ideal candidate will be capable of assuming responsibilities for developing and implementing quality management procedures and systems. Fast paced work environment.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee all internal and external matters related to product quality.
• Manage QA/QC programs to insure cGMP compliance.
• Create and maintain SOPs in accordance with federal and state regulations for dietary supplements.
• Conduct external audits of contract manufacturers. Provide team training on cGMP requirements.
• Prepare management reports and conduct regular team meetings.
• Coordinate with QA consultant for on-going quality improvements.
• Review product labeling for technical accuracy and compliance with applicable regulatory standards.
• Investigate Adverse Event Reports.

Qualifications:

• BS Degree in Food Science or Technical field required. Higher degree a plus.
• 2 to 5 years QA management experience in pharmaceutical or dietary supplement industry.
• Hands-on laboratory testing experience for product quality and a working knowledge of statistical methods of data analysis.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong computer skills.
