Description
Well established and rapidly expanding Gainesville, Florida-based national/international marketer of organic dietary supplements is
looking to hire a qualified person for its Operations team.
Position Overview:
The ideal candidate will be capable of assuming responsibilities for developing and implementing quality management procedures and systems. Fast paced work environment.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all internal and external matters related to product quality.
- Manage QA/QC programs to insure cGMP compliance.
- Create and maintain SOPs in accordance with federal and state regulations for dietary supplements.
- Conduct external audits of contract manufacturers. Provide team training on cGMP requirements.
- Prepare management reports and conduct regular team meetings.
- Coordinate with QA consultant for on-going quality improvements.
- Review product labeling for technical accuracy and compliance with applicable regulatory standards.
- Investigate Adverse Event Reports.
Qualifications:
- BS Degree in Food Science or Technical field required. Higher degree a plus.
- 2 to 5 years QA management experience in pharmaceutical or dietary supplement industry.
- Hands-on laboratory testing experience for product quality and a working knowledge of statistical methods of data analysis.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong computer skills.
