Description

NWF is seeking a Manager, Land Stewardship to work in its Rocky Mountain Natural
Resource Center (Boulder, CO).

Duties:

Candidate will assist in NWF policy development and
implementation as it relates to land management issues and wildlife conservation in
the Western US.

Other duties include:

  • providing technical & policy input regarding land
    & wildlife management;
  • working to protect and restore important habitats;
  • actively
    assist in fundraising efforts for NWF conservation programs

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree required;
  • advanced degree (masters or law) in public
    policy, natural resource management, or wildlife science preferred
  • five years relevant
    experience in environmental policy or natural resource mgmt;
  • working knowledge of
    federal & state land planning processes, oil & gas leasing policies, endangered
    species recovery and / or ability to learn & translate that knowledge into effective
    advocacy
  • strong communication skills & excellent computer skills required

Terms:

Salary in
the 40s.
