Description

The Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC) is a national non-profit environmental organization with offices in New York, Washington DC, Chicago, San Francisco and Los Angeles and Beijing. Our scientists, lawyers, economists, and public policy analysts leverage law, science, economics and the support of 1.2 million members and online activists to protect the planet's wildlife and wild places and to ensure a safe and healthy environment for all living things.

Environmental Entrepreneurs (E2) was formed by two NRDC trustees seven years ago to provide business people to a way to engage in environmental advocacy (elevating the message that good environmental policy also benefits the economy) and to provide financial support for NRDC. E2 has more than 800 members, and active chapters in San Francisco, Los Angeles, New York and Boston. Each chapter holds approximately four events a year and engages in state, regional and national policy debates.

E2 is a national community of business people who promote the economic benefits of good environmental policy. E2 serves as a champion on the economic side of good environmental policy by taking a reasoned, economically sound approach to environmental issues. E2 works at both the state and national levels through its bipartisan efforts. E2 members are volunteers from the business, professional and entrepreneur communities who become NRDC members (through their gifts) and help to advance NRDC's policy goals and provide substantial financial support annually in financial support directly to NRDC.
