Position Overview 

Invenergy LLC, a developer, owner and operator of renewable and thermal power generation facilities, is seeking an experienced person for our Commercial Execution group. The Energy Trading Systems Manager will assist in implementing and maintaining the computer programs used by Commercial Execution including the RTO Automation Software and a forthcoming ETRM system. This position will be based in the Chicago office. 

Responsibilities 

• Understand the technological needs of energy trading, risk management, and settlements functions
• Support the identification, procurement, implementation, and maintenance of systems designed to meet those needs
• Handle administration of software for the trading unit
• Manage system access for internal software and external market interfaces
• Assist system users with customization of reports or applications to meet functional needs of trading, settlements, and risk management
• Work with IT team to ensure trading applications have adequate hardware to support performance needs
• Work with other applications such as PI and Accounting/GL/AP systems to ensure the flow of data.
• Work will require individual contribution but also will be looking to build a team to provide system support as Invenergys Trading, Risk Management, and Settlements functions grow 

Qualifications 

Experience & Skills  

• 4+ years experience administration of energy trading, portfolio management, or risk management systems
• 2+ years in a leadership role
• Demonstrated experience in project management and business analysis, in energy trading or energy portfolio management
• Strong client management skills and experience supporting energy trading professionals
• Strong knowledge of energy trading practices and market
• Self-motivated and willing to work on an energetic, fast-paced team
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills
• Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities
• Experience with Microsoft/SQL, PL/SQL, VBA, or Java preferred
• Experience with Bid to Bill Energy Trading system (such as nMarket, OATI, PCI, or Adapt2) and ETRM system is a plus
• Bachelors degree required
