Nebraska Corn Processing, LLC (NCP) is a leading producer of ethanol and WDGS in the renewable energy and agriculture industries. We currently have an opening for a Maintenance Supervisor at our Cambridge, Nebraska location.
Position Overview:
The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for the maintenance, repair and/or replacement of plant equipment and systems, to ensure maximum production and quality, while supporting the policies, goals, and objectives of the company. In addition, the Maintenance Supervisor will have responsibility for organization and inventory stocking of the plant storeroom.
Responsibilities:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
- Responsible for carrying out the established maintenance plan and compliance with procedures for maintaining high standards of ethanol and by-products operations to ensure that products conform to established customer and company quality standards. Reviews the operation of plant equipment and systems constantly, to minimize unplanned downtime, solve problems in a timely manner, and to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Oversees the MAPCON Maintenance and Inventory Control software system. Through staff establishes and maintains a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) for tracking work orders, spare parts, and maintenance history of plant equipment. Maintains work order process for allocating all part purchases to specific equipment or outside job orders.
- Manages maintenance and parts budget and controls expenses effectively. Initiates, implements, and manages the plant maintenance program based on best practices in the industry, with an emphasis on planning/scheduling and preventive/predictive maintenance.
- Formulate and recommend Maintenance policies and programs that guide the organization in maintaining and improving its competitive position and the profitability of the operation. Direct the establishment, implementation and maintenance of production standards. Initiate and carry out projects that improve efficiency and or reduce operating costs.
- Ensure compliance with current federal, state and local regulations. Direct and coordinate various programs essential to maintenance procedures.
- Initiate and participate in major projects, (e.g., plant layout changes, installation of capital equipment, major repairs, etc.). Initiates and carries out projects that improve efficiency and/or reduce operating costs.
Qualifications:
- Associates degree from 2-year college in a related technical field or certificate or diploma from a trade school in related field and 5 years experience in the maintenance and /or operation of a process manufacturing facility or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- In-depth knowledge of the ethanol plant, chemical plant, or refinery maintenance is an asset.
- Experience with repairs and maintenance of processing equipment is required.
- Successful candidates will have knowledge of Process Safety Management and the ability to work closely with internal operations team.
- Must have strong organizational skills and proficiency in MS Office suite programs and MAPCON maintenance software.
