2D Innovations is a LEED consulting firm based in Hampton Roads VA. We are a small, intimate, and energetic company with a lot of passion and experience. The principal has been involved with LEED projects since 2001. 

Our services include LEED consulting, grant research, carbon footprint consulting, incentive processing, solar energy consulting, spec writing, and sustainable development services. From entitlement to final LEED certification our firm has the ability to assist the owner/developer in any area of sustainable development they desire. With several new projects in the pipeline we are expanding our staff.

Position

2D Innovations is seeking a LEED AP to manage the LEED certification process for new as well as existing building projects. 

The LEED AP will be responsible for managing the LEED Certification process, including: Running design Charrette's; educating and supporting the design and construction team on the requirements of LEED, providing technical support, cost estimation on each point, LEED documentation review, and manage the certification process with the USGBC. The individual will be required to effectively communicate the LEED requirements and associated strategies to project owners and team members. 

Qualifications: 

The applicant must be a LEED AP with proficient knowledge of the design and construction industry. At a minimum, we are looking for a LEED-AP with experience working on green building projects that have either achieved or pursued LEED certification. 

The ideal candidate will be an excellent verbal and written communicator, have a solid understanding of building systems and materials and have demonstrated ability to pay close attention to detail. Strong analytic skills, technical expertise, ability to conduct spreadsheet analysis, familiarity with building operations are required. Minimum skills required: ability to read design documents; knowledge of all LEED Rating Systems; Power Point; Word; Excel. 

Lastly, the successful candidate should exhibit strong time management, organizational, and presentation skills; be flexible to changes in deadlines and be highly self-motivated. This position will require working independently in non-traditional office space as well as closely with other staff members and members of multiple disciplines. 

Compensation: Salary is commensurate with experience. Our office implements several benefit programs for our employees, including a bike to work program, educational program, book reading program, partial medical, etc.
