We are looking for a LEED Coordinator to work with our energy, sustainability and climate change team. Redhorse specializes in developing and implementing creative strategies and solutions with private, state, and federal customers in the areas of energy management, renewable energy, water conservation, high-performance buildings, and carbon management.

Job Description/Responsibilities:

The LEED Coordinator will work onsite at the customer's facility to support the LEED Existing Building Operation and Maintenance (EBO&M) certification of multiple buildings. 

Primary duties will include:

  • Data gathering;
  • LEED-EBO&M credit documentation;
  • Quality reviews;
  • Formal submittals with a web-based tool;
  • Benchmarking commercial facilities with respect to sustainability principles;
  • LEED credit guidance to the customer; and 
  • Assistance with implementation of sustainability program initiatives and achievement of energy, water, and sustainability goals. 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in sustainability, environmental sciences, energy, architecture, engineering or engineering-related field;
  • LEED Accredited Professional designation is required with preference to O+M (operations and maintenance) specialty or ability to pass the O+M specialty exam within 3 months of hire;
  • A minimum of 4 years of progressively responsible technical experience in sustainability related activities;
  • Demonstrated experience in building level sustainability practices, operations, and principles with similar certifications or rating systems;
  • Prior experience with LEED documentation submittals and general LEED guidance required; 
  • Must be familiar and experienced with all LEED-EB credits required for certification to include sustainable sites (SS); water efficiency (WE); energy and atmosphere (EA); materials and resources (MR); indoor environmental quality (IEQ); and innovation in operations (IO);
  • Capable of performing non-engineering calculations related to LEED-EB credit requirements for such things as plumbing fixture flows, required number of parking places, sustainable purchasing costs, stormwater credit requirements, etc.;
  • Demonstrate competency with databases and spreadsheets such as Microsoft (MS) Excel;
  • Experience presenting technical information to non-technical audiences such as with use of MS PowerPoint;
  • Data gathering;
  • LEED-EBO&M credit documentation;
  • Quality reviews;
  • Formal submittals with a web-based tool;
  • Benchmarking commercial facilities with respect to sustainability principles;
  • LEED credit guidance to the customer; 
  • Activities will also include assistance with implementation of sustainability program initiatives and achievement of energy, water, and sustainability goals;
  • Strong organization, oral, and written skills; and
  • Availability for local and regional travel.
