Landman Director, Wind Energy

This unique position for our Wind Energy client is critical for their current rapid growth.

Position Overview:

This Director of Landman will help coordinate between the development and landman teams in greenfield wind development.

This professional may be a consultant today but has at some point managed a landman group or project. A worldly individual can substitute their honed experience and character judgment for a college degree. But JDs and MBS are certainly welcome and can command a premium. May come from one of the following areas:

- Wind Energy Utilities
- Transmission lines Pipelines
- Cell towers Construction
- Greenfield Developments

Knowledge of the landman world, including title clearing and exceptions, a must. Experience in site permitting, easements, project planning, and implementation required.

The position needs someone to think and speak clearly, assess current and future projects, and also work closely with a cross-functional team.

The person who will be most successful and happiest in this position:

• An experienced landman manager
• Strong team building and negotiation ability required.
  Aggressive, adaptive, well-organized, and dependable, with strong oral and written communication skills.
• Enjoys working with, and can establish and maintain a strong rapport, with landowners.
• Able to secure easements. Ideally this person grew up on a farm.
• Can manage realistic project plans and hit operational targets.
• Thrives in a very flexible and ever changing environment.
• May have been involved with RFPs and can assess the viability of a project.
• Will travel from Minneapolis on a periodic basis.  A very detail oriented person is required.

Compensation: This position offers an attractive compensation plan above $100,000 plus stock, health/dental, 401K, etc.
