BergerABAM is a consulting firm offering services in the areas of planning, civil and structural engineering, environmental services, public involvement, construction management and support, surveying, and underwater inspection services.
Position Overview:
Land use/environmental planner needed to work with a full-service land use and natural resources consulting team within BergerABAM. The successful candidate will preferably come from a consulting background and have practical knowledge of land use and environmental planning, permitting and regulations, particularly site plan approvals, shoreline substantial development permitting, SEPA, and NEPA and/or related expertise; and have the ability to work on a variety of projects with public and private sector clients.
Qualifications:
Position requires:
- 2 to 5 years post graduate experience, preferably in consulting
- Minimum BS degree in land use or environmental planning or related field, MS degree a plus
- Good understanding of federal, state and local permitting regulations, Washington State Growth Management Act, Shoreline Act, State and National Environmental Policy Act, and Critical Areas regulations and associated permitting requirements
- Strong analytical and writing skills
- Ability to use Microsoft Suite including: Word, Excel and Project
