Junior Drupal Developer

Position Overview:

We are looking for a talented junior to mid-level Drupal & WordPress Developer to join our team. You would work primarily on implementing new features for our existing client base and also help with site buildouts for new projects. This is a Telecommute Opportunity.

More about you:

The ideal candidate would be highly detail oriented and would enjoy working on multiple projects concurrently. This person would also enjoy solving complex problems with lots of moving parts.

In addition to being a strong overall Drupal developer, the ideal candidate would be very comfortable as a front-end developer. This person would be able to slice Photoshop files into working HTML/CSS, and wrangle HTML/CSS in cross browser environments (including occasionally the dreaded ie6).

Required Experience:

• 1-3+ years professional experience with Drupal 6.x / 7.x, WordPress, PHP, MySQL, HTML, CSS, Javascript & jQuery
• 3 current websites developed using Drupal
• Experience configuring Views, CCK, and creating custom Modules
• Drupal theming experience

Education:

Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or commensurate experience

The ideal client would be able to:

• Conceptualize how projects will be built in Drupal at a high level
• Provide project estimates
• QA & Cross browser test with a critical eye
• Communicate clearly and professionally in writing and in person
• Have strong attention to detail
• Be very self-motivated, and comfortable working remotely
• Be able to self manage time & meet deadlines effectively

Perhaps most importantly, we are looking for someone who would be excited to work on projects that drive social and environmental change.

Compensation: $20 to $30/hr based on experience
