Position Overview

The Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for
tracking, maintaining, and purchasing light bulb/energy saving product
inventory and equipment to support the Energy Assessment team in the Mass Save
Home Energy Services program. The position is also responsible for maintaining inventory reports and equipment records.

Responsibilities

Position Responsibilities include the following
(other duties may be assigned to meet business needs):

  • Track and monitor inventory levels to ensure sufficient quantities.
  • Track and monitor equipment and schedule maintenance.
  • Purchase inventory and enter data into purchasing software.
  • Coordinate deliveries and receive shipments.
  • Forecast monthly and seasonal demand.
  • Assist in enhancing and implementing inventory control process and
    procedures.
  • Perform inventory audits investigate discrepancies, and provide
    necessary information to the Fiscal Department.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2
    years of inventory management experience.
  • Demonstrated
    experience or aptitude with Microsoft Word, Excel, and inventory database
    systems.
  • Physically
    able to lift heavy objects (50 pounds) on a regular and repeated basis;
    move freely (including twisting, bending, kneeling, squatting, etc.) to
    perform job duties; and operate pallet jack, dolly, and other moving
    equipment.
  • Excellent
    communication skills.
