Position Overview: 

GL Partners, a growing San Francisco architecture firm located in the SOMA/South Beach area, offers an exciting career opportunity in a dynamic, team-focused work environment for an Interior Designer with a minimum of 5 years experience in commercial interior design for an architectural firm.

The interior designer will be responsible for space planning and the selection of FF&E, materials, finishes and colors for projects in coordination with other team members. The candidate must have strong conceptual design skills and a solid, well-rounded knowledge of AutoCAD, hand sketching, hand and/or electronic rendering, and presentation boards for client presentations and submittals. The successful candidate must be self-motivated and have the ability to work on a team and communicate effectively with clients, other team members, consultants, city officials and contractors.

Qualifications:

The qualified candidate is required to have a professional degree in Architecture or Interior Design. Sustainable design experience and LEED Accreditation are also required for this position. The candidate does not need certification in interior design or a California state license. Candidate must have exceptional conceptual design skills and experience with technical commercial building projects. Additional experience with research labs and corporate facilities is preferred but not required. Proficiency in AutoCAD and hand drafting/sketching/rendering is required. The candidate must have outstanding written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
