Interactive Marketing Director

B Corporations are a new type of corporation which uses the power of business to create public benefit. B Corporations meet high performance and legal standards and build collective voice through the power of the unifying B Corporation brand. As of August 2008, there are over 130 Certified B Corporations, representing a diverse $900+ million marketplace. B Lab, a non-profit organization, certifies and supports B Corporations.

Position Overview:

• Leverage the web to tell the story of and support B Corporations
• Increase awareness of B Corporations to potential B Corps, thought leaders, and the general public
• Help existing B Corporations differentiate their businesses

Responsibilities:

• Create and disseminate compelling content about B Corporations across the web   
     -Work with the community of 130+ Certified B Corporations to leverage their existing content, utilize social networks, SEO etc
     -Work with the B Lab team to develop original content ideas
• Work with marketing team to use the web to support marketing and policy partnerships (i.e. GOOD Magazine, New Voice of Business)
• Work with recruiting team to develop and activate community partnerships with sustainable business associations (i.e SVN, BALLE, Investor Circle, Coop America, 1% for the Planet, World of Good, etc)
• Work with services team to use bcorporation.net to service B Corporations
• Utilize the web to streamline internal workflow

Qualifications:
• Passion for using business to solve social and environmental problems
• High energy, self-managing, entrepreneurial personality
• Demonstrated capability to leverage the web as a communications and community building tool
• Strong relationship-building, communications, and organizational skills
• 5-10 years experience in business, preferably in a role which required managing external relationships

Compensation: $50-$100k plus benefits depending upon experience
