Inside/Outside Sales

Jim's Organic Coffee is an all-organic coffee roaster based in West Wareham, MA. We are close to Cape Cod, Providence, and Boston. We are well established and growing.

Jim's Organic CoffeeTM is grown without synthetic pesticides and fertilizers. Organic coffee improves the ecosystem of the farms and surrounding communities through improved water quality, topsoil retention, and increased biodiversity. The organic coffees Jim selects are the very finest in 'cup quality.' We slowly hand roast to deliver a rich, full and clean cup. 

Position Overview:

We are looking for an experienced salesperson to do inside and outside sales. This covers territory currently not covered by our existing outside sales team.

Responsibilities:

Inside sales

• Inside sales involves Customer Service and 'up selling' to existing accounts via phone and e-mail.
• This includes setting up promotions, demos, and taking 'turn orders' from existing and new accounts.
• Inside sales also entails following up on leads derived from tradeshows, inquiries, and cold calls and turning these leads into active customers.
• The position requires supporting our brokers and existing clients with product knowledge, sampling, and promotional items.

Outside sales

• Outside Sales includes travel within the US to connect with customers, make presentations, do trainings, attend trade shows, and meet with key accounts.
• Getting to know existing customers, taking and entering orders, and providing impeccable customer service is also expected.

Qualifications: 

• Jim's Organic Coffee services both into the Natural Foods industry as well as many coffee shops, bakeries, restaurants, and cafes. This class of trade; foodservice, requires in depth product knowledge and passion for coffee and organic coffee.
• The Natural Foods grocery channel is what continues to lead the way for us into different regions of the country and requires this same passion for organic and quality organic coffee. We will train you in regards to coffee, but you need to bring the passion.
• We are looking for someone with at least two years experience selling to Natural Foods.
• College degree is highly preferred.
• Candidate must be willing to 'do what it takes' in terms of hours and effort to learn and grow the business.
• The position requires some weekend work and attendance at trade shows involving air travel.
