The company also exclusively represents manufacturers of high- quality, research-based products such as probiotics, fortified yeasts, yeast peptides, magnesium alpha lipoic acid and vitamin D.
Position Overview
Come work with Guzen Development-a small, friendly, effective company focused on ingredient innovation and sales in the health supplements industry. This Sales Representative/Administrative Assistant position will seek to increase customer sales in assigned territory while maximizing profitability for the company.
The primary function of the Inside Sales Representative: To promote the quality and value of our raw materials for nutritional supplements and foods to potential and current customers. Integrity, vision and passion are essential for this role.
Responsibilities
- Arrive to work on time & prepared
- Represent Guzen Development in a positive and professional manner via email, phone & face-to-face communications with existing & potential customers
- Work with CEO & Office Manager to develop and execute sales & marketing strategy, including 3-5 trade shows per year
- Assist with the draft and design of marketing materials, including Constant Contact emails, advertisements, sales brochures, banners & magazine articles
- Effectively qualify, research and follow up all leads by investigating targeted leads to determine needs, identify decision-makers, develop relationships and begin sales process
- Maintain and expand the company's database of prospects
- Track and report on sales forecast
- Respond promptly to all potential customer inquiries for information, pricing, sales and shipping terms & documents
- Work with prospective customers to develop a vision for product application, emphasizing product features & benefits
- Handle inbound, unsolicited prospect inquiries and convert them into sales
- Cold-call prospects
- Outbound contact to existing customers to cross-sell and up-sell
- Conduct post-sale follow up
- Maintain confidentiality about products, customers & suppliers as appropriate
- Maintain organization/cleanliness of work areas, sample storeroom & office
- Training where applicable
- Administrative & other duties as assigned; duties subject to change
Qualifications
Education:
- College graduate with a degree, (Nutrition Science - preferred)
- Minimum: 3.25 GPA
Required Skills & Experience:
- Healthy, Positive, Punctual, Diligent, Self-Motivated, Articulate, Well-Organized
- Strong work ethic & desire to succeed
- Professional attitude with energetic personality
- Fluent English
- Exceptional verbal/written communication & presentation skills
- Can learn quickly in a small-team environment

- Strong interpersonal skills-can build and maintain lasting relationships with customers
- Excellent attention to detail
- Working knowledge of basic office equipment - copy, fax, scanner, printer
- Well-versed in using (Apple) computers, tablets & smartphones as business tools, including working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, & PowerPoint; Constant Contact and/or website skills a plus
- Available for short travel to trade shows 3-5 times/year
- Strong sales negotiation skills
- Interest in the natural supplements industry
- Understanding of product positioning & competitive conditions, knowledge of sales strategies & techniques, or experience in customer service a plus
Compensation: Entry level; depends on skills and previous experience.
