Position Overview:

Our staffing goals mirror our product and we wish to establish a Tesla culture that is second to none and that's why we are looking for you.

The primary goal of the Inside Sales Advisor is to sell Roadsters. The Inside Sales Advisor will accomplish this by contacting marketing generated leads, developing the lead through continued phone follow up and initiating the close process either on the phone or by directing the prospect to a store for a test drive. If a prospect has been directed to a store, the Inside Sales Advisor will team with the Store Sales Advisor to close the sale. An implicit responsibility of the Inside Sales Representative is to conduct business dealings in a way that creates a superior prospect experience that represents the Tesla brand values.

Responsibilities:

  • Achieve a minimum of 2 sales per month
  • Follow-up on inbound leads. The purpose is to assess the prospect's needs, qualify the opportunity, and progress the sale to close
  • Utilize a consistent contact process to follow-up, nurture, and close leads generated by marketing campaigns
  • Provide feedback and recommendations on marketing efforts based on direct experiences with potential clients
  • Develop and maintain territory and daily plans to maximize and leverage phone time, including pre-call planning, and adhering to territory hours and metrics
  • Participate in company meetings and marketing events
  • Keep up with industry trends and best practices, including utilization of new technology and web resources

Responsibilities:

  • Recent graduates with 1-3 years experience preferred
  • Strong communication and relationship management skills
  • Ability to understand and convey business issues and technical concepts
  • Self-motivated & passionate with ability to work effectively in a highly automated & collaborative sales environment 
  • Pre-call planning
  • Opportunity qualification and objection handling
  • Call structure and control
  • Time and territory management
  • Positive and energetic phone skills, excellent listening skills, strong writing skills
  • Proficient with standard corporate productivity tools (email, voicemail, MS Office, internet navigation, CRM applications- preferably Salesforce.com).
  • BA/BS required
  • Legal right to work in the United States
  • Valid California's drivers license
