Position Overview
National conservation organization seeks a regular, full-time Individual Giving Officer. This new position is responsible for generating funds from existing and new individual donors to support the National Forest Foundation (NFF) mission.
The Individual Giving Officer will initially report to the Executive Vice President and will work closely with the entire Development and Communications team as well as other key areas across the organization to identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward gifts from donors in the $500-$10,000 range. This is a focused position with a very strong external orientation; it will require significant time on the telephone, including video calls. The Individual Giving Officer will grow support from individuals by managing a portfolio of approximately 350 assigned prospects capable of giving at the $500-$10,000 level annually.
Location: This position may be located anywhere in the United States.
Qualifications
- Possess at least seven years’ development experience with proven results; direct experience working with individual donors including soliciting gifts;
- Excellent computers skills, proficient with virtual meeting applications, Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with databases;
- Excellent written and oral communications and telephone skills, along with the ability to use video conferencing to foster meaningful donor interactions; and
- A commitment to the mission of the National Forest Foundation.
Compensation
- Salary will be in the $60,000-$70,000 range commensurate with experience, considering locality.
