Description
PECI seeks a mechanical engineer with 5+ years experience in commercial HVAC and refrigeration applications.
This individual will work with the PECI commercial buildings team to support utility program implementation in the areas of retrocommissioning, grocery retrofits, and packaged rooftop unit tune-ups.
Specific activities include calculating energy savings, creating and overseeing technical deliverables, and providing technical support to program managers.
Required background in one or more of the following areas:
* HVAC mechanical system and controls design, installation, operation, and commissioning.
* Grocery refrigeration system design, installation, operation, and commissioning.
* Troubleshooting packaged rooftop units.
* Screening buildings for energy efficiency opportunities. Spreadsheet analysis of trend data.
* Energy savings calculations for technologies and control strategies.
* Working knowledge of IPMVP and development of M&V plans.
* A high level of interest in improving energy efficiency in buildings.
* Well-developed presentation, written communication, and organizational skills.
* Ability to think strategically and at a detailed technical level.
* Proven ability to meet deadlines on budget.
* Engineering degree strongly preferred; individuals with a non-engineering technical degree coupled with significant building operations experience will be considered.
