SolarCity is looking for a Human Resources (People Empowerment) Operations Coordinator. This position plays a key role in two or more of the following areas: pre-hire process, new hire onboarding or managing employee data. Other areas of special attention include audits, training, investigation and issue resolution. This position responds quickly and efficiently to requests from the entire organization and consistently provides excellent customer service. Candidates with a positive attitude and advanced Excel skills are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
- Manage work from multiple areas of responsibility within the operations department effectively and efficiently
- Work with a cross-functional team to manage requests for support and seek support and guidance as needed
- Assume an ‘end to end' ownership for complex processes that impact employee data for the organization
- Conduct audits and root cause analysis for issues
- Interface with recruiting and payroll teams to coordinate new hire and changes processing
- Work closely with Payroll department to ensure timely and accurate payment processing
- Ensure data entered reflects current and accurate employee information by making changes on an as needed basis
- Follow through and communicate with employees and managers regarding role/salary changes
- Assist with the day to day operations of the PE (HR) Operations team and ensure all SLAs are met
- Document workflow and work procedures and assess and recommend solutions to contribute to the continuous improvement process
- Maintain strict and utmost confidentiality of employee information and personal data
- Support various PE projects on an as needed basis to meet business demands
Qualifications
- 4 year degree in a related field or relevant experience and preferably at least two years of HR experience working in a high-growth company
- Highly organized and process oriented
- Ability to produce high quality work with attention to detail
- Ability to deliver effective results and meet tight deadlines and targets
- Effective problem-solving skills
- Competent skills to produce accurate and well-presented reports
- HRIS experience and knowledge preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
- Exceptional customer service and focus
- Must be a team player and encompass company values

- Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment criminal screen. Additional pre-employment driving and drug screens may be required based on job responsibilities
