Human Resource Manager

Duties:

Veritable Vegetable is seeking a Human Resources Manager for full time employment. Effective: immediately.

Veritable Vegetable is a dynamic women-owned and operated company, dedicated to social justice and sustainable agriculture. Our business is distribution of organic fresh fruits and vegetables. We are committed to providing opportunities for women in the workplace.

• Administrates, develops, and manages company personnel policies and employee benefit systems to ensure a safe quality work environment at Veritable Vegetable for our 80 person staff.

Qualifications: 

• Ensures legal and appropriate human resource policies and procedures regarding hiring, development, retention, health and safety of qualified staff.
• Handles recruitment process, ongoing employee relations, contributes to employee development and training programs.
• Oversees Worker's Compensation, Safety and Benefit programs.

Qualifications:

• Must have excellent communication and project management skills.
• Good knowledge of Federal and State labor laws important.
• Familiarity with organizational development practices a plus.  
• Previous experience as Human Resource Generalist or Manager.
• Experience in non-financial benefits administration, such as health insurance and workers' compensation
