Position Overview

The Group Sustainability Reporting Manager role in the Group Sustainability team is an exciting opportunity to play a crucial part in the delivery of this shared vision, and supporting our aim to be open and transparent about our progress by sharing learnings along the way. We’re proud to be recognised for our work and have been awarded Sustainability Team of the Year 2022 at the edie Sustainability Leaders awards, and the Property Week Climate Crisis Initiative award for 2023.

The role is responsible for supporting the creation of a new, efficient reporting platform, coordinating data collection and producing high quality reporting and analysis, on the business’ performance towards achieving our sustainability goals.  The role will support individual businesses on their own data collection, analysis and reporting needs, as well as ensuring a best practice standards and consistency across the Group.  This will also support all internal and external sustainability reporting and publications, ensuring our compliance with global external benchmarks/policy.

The successful candidate will have a full overview of sustainability data and reporting in the business, as well as exposure to all business areas.  This is an excellent opportunity to develop knowledge and skills in a large, multi-sector business.

The role is a fixed term contract for 14 months and can work flexibly. There is an expectation to work from the office at least 60% of the time.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the creation of and maintain a data and reporting platform and reporting process/framework across the group covering key sustainability themes and metrics
  • Create and use Excel-based models and data visualisation tools to report on sustainability data
  • Review and improve reporting processes, including reviewing resource requirements (internal and external), automating data flows where possible
  • Conduct the analysis and reporting of sustainability data to support internal business KPIs and external reporting and publications.
  • Support Grosvenor’s sustainability consultants and BU sustainability teams to produce internal and external reporting requirements and initiatives
  • Share and provide insights and analysis in a transparent and engaging way that will help drive forward progress against our goals
  • Collaborate and communicate to multiple business teams

To achieve this it will be necessary to:

  • Be comfortable working with large, complex data sets; organising and analysing it and presenting it simply
  • Work closely with the Group Sustainability team and individual business sustainability teams and representatives to support sustainability reporting requirements
  • Work effectively with our sustainability consultants, and escalate issues when required

Key Requirements

  • At least two years’ relevant experience of data management and/or modelling
  • Strong data management and analytical skills with the ability to efficiently manipulate and make sense of large datasets
  • High level of attention to detail but ability to step back and observe the bigger picture
  • Genuine interest in and passion for environmental and social sustainability, and specifically Grosvenor’s sustainability commitments
  • Ability to understand and analyse technical concepts but explain them simply in a relevant way
  • Advanced skills in Excel and data visualisation tools (e.g. PowerBI, Tableau, etc.)
