Description
Lufa Farms grows more than 25 varieties of vegetables and fresh produce in our rooftop farm for local consumers. We also provide root vegetables and certain natural produce items from other local Quebec farmers.
Lufa Farms offers several basket services that contain different types and quantities of fresh local produce. We Deliver the Food Baskets to a group "drop-off" location, or they can be picked up at the farm.
Position Overview:
The Greenhouse Supervisor is responsible to overseeing all greenhouse activities, operations and staff management.
This position reports directly to the President.
Responsibilities:
- Planning activities
- Supervising all greenhouse activities such as, harvesting, maintenance management and clean ups
- Managing HR activities: Hiring, firing and performance reviews
- Establish work schedules and procedures
- Resolve work related problems
- Prepare production reports and other miscellaneous reports
- Support and implement upper-managements recommandations
Qualifications:
- Supervisory experience
- Excellent leadership and management skills
- Able to work under tight deadlines
- Meticulous and detail oriented
- Greenhouse experience
- Excellent problem solver
- Strong verbal and written skills
- Good computer knowledge
Compensation: Full-time position average of 40 hours/ week. Annual salary $32,000 + up to $4,000 in performance bonuses. Work Hours 6:00am-3:00pm (Flexible work schedule is available). Group insurance plan includes vision, dental and medical coverage. 10 vacation/sick days per year.
