Qualifications
SES is currently seeking a Green Building/LEED-AP Consultant to manage low impact development (LID) and sustainable design projects.
A successful candidate should have the following qualifications:
- A passion for environmental stewardship and a desire to innovate sustainable solutions in the green building field
- LEED-AP certification and complete mastery of LEED NC rating system
- 3+ years working in architectural/engineering field and experience managing LEED projects
- Strong communication skills capable of leading design charettes and coordinating efforts between architects, engineers, planners etc., to maximize LEED points and minimize environmental impacts
- Outgoing personality and active participation in green-building networking groups and organizations (e.g. USGBC) a plus
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Engineering, Architecture, Environmental Science, or similar
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with clients and co-workers
- Organized work approach in order to manage the diverse nature of the work required
- Ability to work independently and promptly grasp new concepts
- Interest in environmental consulting and/or civil engineering practices (Forest Conservation Plans, Wetland Impact Plates, Erosion and Sediment Control Sets, Planting Plans, Environmental Assessments, and similar environmental documents) desirable
