Internship to assist with the work of Aedi Construction, a green building general contracting firm dedicated to contributing to a sustainable society by building healthy living and working environments.

Aedi Construction provides a complete range of construction services for property managers, developers and residential clients. Our services range from pre-construction planning to new construction and total renovations of residential and commercial properties.

Aedi Construction is a part of Aedi Group - an ecosystem of sustainability oriented companies, operating under a "co-profit model" with our affiliated non-profit, Village Corps.  

Responsibilities:   

  • Managing content for green building/sustainability blog, including contributing content, uploading posts, engaging new contributors, researching articles, and expanding readership through social networks and viral marketing;
  • Developing a database of building products, including systems for tracking, researching, reviewing, and rating products;
  • Researching federal and state incentives for green building, renewable energy, energy efficiency, green jobs, etc.;
  • Managing email campaigns (a combination of advocacy and marketing);
  • Researching and building a database of local/regional real estate professionals interested in the sustainability.

Qualifications:

We are seeking motivated, organized, and strategically-oriented applicants with a passion for creating a sustainable future.  The position requires a hard-working, reliable, and professional self-starter who is also personable and works well in teams.  Academic and/or work experience in the fields of sustainability, international development, social justice, environment, economics, business, and finance preferred. 

Skill Level: Completed undergraduate degree preferred

Compensation: Position is unpaid, but provides a valuable stepping-stone for future employment in the field. Interns have the opportunity to learn about strategic approaches for sustainability, and build their network in the field.

Duration: The positions will last for 3 months, beginning early September (exact start date flexible).
