Green Building Intern

Position Overview
We are seeking a self-motivated and enthusiastic intern for general project support working under the supervision of project managers. The candidate will be exposed to cutting edge green building technologies, the economics of today's sustainable building market and an integrated design process.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintain green materials electronic database for project consulting by researching material attributes and entering data 
• PowerPoint development for green building seminars and lectures 
• Prepare LEEDTM Applications for the US Green Building Council (USGBC) 
• Pick-up redline comments on LEED reviews and technical reports 
• Perform market research for the business director 
• Prepare handouts for green/sustainable building seminars and lectures 
• Maintain the electronic slide library 
• Prepare project binders for internal project management 
• Aid project managers with general project administrative tasks such as filing, copying, scanning, archiving, scheduling and typing

Minimum Requirements

• A general background in architecture, urban planning, real estate, landscape architecture, civil engineering or allied field. Junior/Senior level Undergraduate or 
• Graduate candidates strongly preferred. Students who are Work-Study eligible in the State of Washington are encouraged to apply. 
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written), attention to detail, positive attitude and a desire to work within a team environment are a must. 
• Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is required. 
• Computer knowledge of Photoshop 6.0, Illustrator 10, PageMaker 7 MS Access preferred.

Compensation: $12-$16/hr, 15-40 hours/week. This position is not eligible for benefits.
